Carl Patrick Lawrence, 46, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on November 27, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Rev.

Karen Candee officiating. Carl was born on April 12, 1972 in Maquoketa, Iowa the son of Guy Lawrence and Judith Cayard. He graduated from Senior High School in 1990 and married Monica Monner on May 17, 2014 in Dubuque.

He was a former taxi driver for A1 Taxi and was lastly a self-employed Uber and Lyft driver. Carl is survived by his wife Monica; his mother Judith Cayard of Savanna, IL; siblings Jennifer Lawrence, of Buffalo, NY, Tiffany (James) Spark, of Dubuque, Iowa, Nathan Lawrence, of Dubuque; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Melissa (Stephen) Lawrence, of Chicago, IL and his fur babies Pip the dog and Sissy the cat. He was preceded in death by his father Guy; step-mother Marge (Coakley) Lawrence; his brother Stephen Lawrence and his beloved dog Dirty Boy.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center.
