Carl was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the 7th of 9 children of Bernard and Marcia Novak. He graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School in 1976 and from Messmer High School in 1980.

He earned a degree in Communications from UWM. Carl enjoyed playing softball, football, volleyball and bowling. He also enjoyed playing scrabble and playing the trumpet.

He was the Manager of Landmark Lanes for a number of years and could often be found at Bradford Beach working on his tan. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was the first to greet you when he saw someone arrive. Carl leaves behind his siblings, James (Sandie), Mary (Eric), the late John, Nell, Ann (Joseph), Thomas, Beth and Christopher (Jodi), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the outstanding care they gave to Carl over the last several years. Carl will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery near his parents. He will be missed.
