Carmel Richard Lagace of Fowlerville passed away at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor on May 12, 2018. He was born on December 12, 1945 to Roland and Yvette(Lavoie) in Montreal, Canada. Carmel moved to the United States with his family when he was 7 years old.

He became an American Citizen after High School then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Carmel was a Truck Driver prior to retiring, enjoyed spending time with family and making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Yvette Lagace, sister Joanne (Cudlike) Lagace and grandson Matthew Honsinger,He is survived by his wife of 50 years Elvia Lagace, daughters Linda (Wes) Hutton and Brenda (Ty) Honsinger, Grandsons Jon Hutton, Gregory Honsinger and Nathan Honsinger, Great Granddaughter Violet Hutton, brother Gilles (Karen) Lagace and sister Corinne (Armondo) Rameriz and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
