Obituary for Carmen Vasquez O’Hare FORT WORTH – Carmen Vasquez O’Hare, 86, born July 17, 1931, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at home with her family at her side. Carmen worked as an administrative assistant at Pioneer American Insurance Co. in Fort Worth from 1956 to 1966. She continued working as an administrative assistant after moving to Houston.

She was an avid gardener, talented painter, and she loved dogs. She made many lifelong friends at each stop and was a friend to many. If you had the pleasure of meeting her, you made a friend.

Carmen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, James H. “Jim” O’Hare; parents, Ignacio and Anita Vasquez; sister, Libby Vasquez; and nephew, David Vasquez. She is survived by her sister, Vickie Mendoza and husband, Paul; brother-in-law, Robert C. Vasquez; stepson, Thomas O’Hare and his son, Blaze; stepdaughter, Bonnie Busbee; nephews, Daniel Vasquez and wife, Teresa and Rob Vasquez and wife, Sonya; niece, Lisa Miller and husband, Randy; and her sweet dog, Lucy.
