Carmie E. King, age 86 of Clyde, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Eden Springs Healthcare Center in Green Springs. She was born January 18, 1932 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Sherman and Lutie (Hirt) Tackett. Carmie is survived by her children: Robert L. (Judith M. Gerber) King of Fremont, Kathleen Blankenship of Republic, Dorothy E. King of Clyde, Sharon I. King of Clyde, and Tina L. King of Republic; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carmie is preceded in death by her husband, Buell “Pete” King; son, Steven; grandchild, Amanda; great-grandchild, Payton; and her siblings: Daniel Tackett, Tommy Tackett, Lonnie Tackett, Alvis Tackett, Sola Mae Goble, and Phoebe.
