WINSTED – Carol D. Palma, 85 of Winsted, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2018 just a day before her 86th birthday. She was the wife of the late Francis Palma, and the late Floyd Poe, father of her children. Born December 10, 1932 in Everett, MA; the daughter of the late John and Stella Shostek.

Carol was an active member of the Lions Club in Winsted volunteering for many of their events including the annual Flea Market. She was also a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. She is survived… Read More » by her beloved sons, Michael Poe of Waterford, Richard (LuAnn) Poe of Torrington and Robert Poe of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Brian (Katie) Poe of Waterbury and Kevin Poe of Manchester; great grandson, Ethan Poe of Waterbury; step-children, Michelle Delaney of SC, Alisa Lee of ME, Michael Palma of TX and Robert Palma of SC; and several step-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregiver, Janet Whiterock, for her support, care and kindness. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church, Winsted at 10 AM. Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the spring.
