Obituary for Carol E. Mortensen Carol E. Mortensen, 86, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Carol was born in Waukegan, IL, on October 20, 1931. She graduated from Waukegan High School in 1949 and married her husband Ralph on September 23, 1951.

They enjoyed riding snowmobiles, motorcycles, and traveling in their RV. She was an avid golfer and played bingo and shuffleboard. She also enjoyed playing pool and loved showing her grandsons how to play the game.

She is survived by her son Jim (Georjanne) Mortensen; grandsons Phillip (Nassy) Mortensen, Glen (Janice) Mortensen, and Aaron (Gina) Rupe; and great grandchildren Kassidie, Bella, Raquel, Callie, Ryan, and Ashtyn. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and by her daughter Katherine (Dan) Fehrenbacher. Memorial visitation will be 1-3 pm on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave.

, Lake Villa, IL 60046. A service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Fox Lake Rescue Squad.
