Carol J. Ingram, the daughter of Leone (Wilson) and Don Killough, was born March 12, 1941 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. She departed this life on June 15, 2018 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village in Hastings. Carol received her formal education attending the Red Cloud schools.
She was united in marriage with Kenneth Roger Ingram on October 10, 1958 at the Congregational Church in Red Cloud. This union was blessed with four children, Debbie, Marcia, Kevin and Jeff. They lived in the Nebraska-Kansas area throughout their married life.
Carol always maintained a positive attitude and was cheerful and smiling. She truly had a sincere interest in the lives of her family and friends. Even throughout her declining health, she never gave up her trust in God and his divine wisdom.
She was employed for twenty years with Baldwin Filters in Kearney while raising her family. She especially cherished being a farmer’s wife, living in the country. In her leisure time Carol loved to read each day and take her kids to the library, camping, playing canasta, traveling scenic routes throughout the states, taking trips to Branson, Missouri with her daughters and riding the motorcycle with her husband.
She also looked forward to taking long walks, and pushing her grandchildren on buggy rides. She was a patient, loving mother and grandmother. She was always showing up unexpectedly to help and play with her grandchildren.
Carol didn’t have to live an organized life to be happy. She was laid back, easy going, nonjudgmental, and purely just enjoyed her life with her family. She never gave up having Christmas on the farm and you always could look forward to having a full stocking no matter how old you got.
It was the time of year the celebrate Christmas with a “Happy Birthday Jesus” cake. She loved her God and reading her bible. Carol believed the meaning of life is everyday and everywhere.
Left to treasure her memory are her loving husband, Kenneth Ingram; children, Debbie Chromy and husband Duane of Kearney, Nebraska; Marcia Brooks of Holstein, Nebraska; Kevin Ingram and wife Keri of Kenesaw, Nebraska, and Jeff Ingram and wife Tonya of Gibbon, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Wroblewski of Red Cloud, Nebraska; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Bill Campbell of Normandy Park, Washington; other relatives and friends.
