Obituary for Carole Spiker (Quimby) Carole Lynn (Quimby) Spiker, age 63 of Beverly Pike, Grafton, WV passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born December 9, 1954 in Riverdale, MD a daughter of Juanita Lenore (Artress) Quimby of Sunnyvale, CA and the late Freeman Henry Quimby. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Gerald R. Spiker; four children, Gerald R. Spiker, Jr. and wife Brandy of Grafton, William V. Spiker and wife Heather of Bridgeport, WV, Kimberly A. Spiker of Charlotte, NC, and Matt E. Spiker and wife Catherine of Fairmont, WV; four grandchildren, Justin and Kaileigh Spiker, Mckayla Austin, and Bellamy Spiker; seven step-children, Barbara, Clarence, Sandy, Andrew, Tricia, Kathy, and Nancy; two brothers, Kelvin Quimby and wife Darlyn, of the Philippines, and David Quimby and wife Linda, of CA; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Abigail Spiker. Carole worked as a telephone operator for the C&P Telephone Company and was the office manager for the State Farm in Pruntytown. Among other schooling, she also had her degree in nursing.

There will be no funeral home visitation at Carole’s request and there will be a private graveside service held at the family’s discretion.
