Carole M. Listenfelt, 82, formerly of Fairmount, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor where she had been a resident since 2014. Carole was born on October 11, 1936 in Marion, Indiana daughter of the late Joseph O. and Pauline Wesco. She married Kenneth F. Listenfelt on March 17, 1954.

He preceded her in death on February 18, 2006. Carole was a homemaker that loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed doing puzzle books, cats and collecting dolls.

Carole is survived by her three children; Janet Listenfelt, Marion, Fay (Dan) Wintrode, Huntington, and Mark Listenfelt, Jonesboro; six grandchildren; David and Tony Shoemaker both of Huntington, Amber Shoemaker, Cody (Merrisa) Bohlander, Alexandria, Jade (Josh) Michael, Ft. Wayne, and Lindsey Sparks, Jonesboro. and three great-grandchildren.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Connie Shoemaker in 2004. Arrangements have been entrusted the to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 2-3 PM funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Rev. Alexander P. Soultz officiating.

Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
