Caroline Nelson entered her heavenly home on June 13, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Nelson. She is survived by two daughters and a son, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren.

She was a former member of of Boulevard United Methodist Church for many years, where she founded the Caring and Sharing group, a supportive ministry for widows. She was most recently a member of First Baptist Church of Johnson City. She was always very loving and generous with family, friends and even strangers in need, often placing others’ needs ahead of her own.

She was a real estate broker for many years helping clients find that perfect house that would quickly become a home. She loved gardening and looked forward every year to buying and cultivating vegetables, flowers and plants, resulting in a meticulous-looking yard. Her wonderful spirit and heart of gold will always be remembered in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 10am until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home.
