went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, July 28, 2108. Born on February 4, 1927, George was 91. He was predeceased by his mother Elva and his only brother Everett.

George is survived by his wife of 69 years Janet, daughter Sherry Bremer; son Keith and his wife Gail; daughter Cindy Clancy and her husband Eric; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly; as well as 1 niece. George graduated from North High taking the Technical Mechanical Course. George proudly served his country (Army) during WWII.

He worked at IBM for 38 years, 30 as a manager. Following retirement, he sold real estate and wintered in Florida. He served in many roles within the church, volunteered with The Gideon’s and in the local Jail Ministry.

He was a dedicated father and grandfather. He became an avid reader and sports fan. He always loved to “tinker” and fix things.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00pm, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 12:30pm until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home. Rather than flowers, please consider a donation in dad’s name to the BCCC Jail Ministry, 3 Otseningo Street, Binghamton, NY, 13903 or First Baptist of Johnson City, 1321 Reynolds Road, Johnson City, NY 13790 where he was a member.
