84, died Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Bridgewater Nursing Center where she resided for the past 10 years. Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her friend Sue Thrasher, with whom she shared conversation, confidence and chocolate. Jeanette, born on October 25, 1933, was raised by her parents on a farm in a rural community.

Late in her life Jeanette moved to Binghamton and stayed at the YMCA until she found a job and place to call her own. Jeanette shared her life and home with her two beloved cats. Jeanette’s other faithful companion was her transistor radio.

She often imported the wisdom she leaned from various radio programs, then would later ask if you followed her advice. Unbeknownst to many, Jeanette was a dedicated fan of Elvis Presley. She attended Elvis’s 1977 concert in Binghamton, one of his last performances, and caught his blue scarf that he tossed to the audience!

It was a momentous event. “Jeanette has now left the building”. At Jeanette’s request, there will be no services.
