79, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier. She was predeceased by her husband Harley G. Milks; parents Harold and Muriel Haynes. She is survived by her daughter Glenda Nowakowski; son Harley G. (Lillian) Milks, Jr; son Lance; grandchildren Andrew, Adam and Nicholas Nowakowski; Jeffery and Natalie Milks; brother Donald Haynes; sister Sharon (Haynes) Hall; several nieces and nephews.

Joyce graduated from Union Endicott in 1956 and Charles S. Wilson School of Nursing in 1959 where she worked until her retirement in 1999. She was an avid reader, enjoyed word puzzles and an enthusiast of Gone with the Wind. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00am, at the Milks Family Cemetery, Milks Road, Binghamton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joyce’s name to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760, or Hospice, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
