Marie Hawley, 94, passed away at Riverview Manor in Owego, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 after a long decline. Thank you Trina for being one of only a few whom we could always count on to be attentive to Marie’s needs and being with her at the end. Marie was a graduate, then Dorm Mother, at The Scranton State School for the Deaf, Marie also had been employed by Endicott Johnson Shoes.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Walter & Laura (Moon) Evans, three sisters, Letha, Martha, and her twin Mary Charles. Marie was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Hudson, Carl Strail and David Hawley. She is survived by her step son, Billy Hawley; a niece, Cathy Dunkleberger (James), and nephews , Robert Charles (Norma), Leslie Charles (Betsy), and her friend of 30 plus years, who was also her caregiver for the past 13, Jody Weidemann and her husband, David Bricker.

Deep appreciation goes to Dr. James Skiff for his thoughtful collaboration, kindness and care. Thank you for so many years always being accessible. Lourdes Hospice, thank you for being a voice of reason dealing with RVM and an extra pair of eyes over Marie’s care and making sure she was kept as pain free and as comfortable as possible.

A short graveside service will be held by Fr. Peter Williams Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00am at the back Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery on Harry L. Drive, in Johnson City, NY.
