90, passed away at the Willow Point Nursing Home on October 4th after a six year battle with Vascular Dementia. He was predeceased by his first wife Lucille Dirienzo Michael, his parents Pasquale and Francesca Michael (Micheli); three brothers James (Rose) and John (Mary) and Louis Michael; three sisters Mary (Louie) Giovanni, Anne (Daniel) Sullivan and Franny Guzzy (Peter). He was also predeceased by his step-daughter Shanon Kolb and his in-laws Peter and Joan Minnow.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years Gail Kolb-Michael; son Patrick Michael (Michael) North Carolina, two daughters, Francesca Beckham (Terry) Illinois and Felecia Dellos, Johnson City, NY. Also survived by four grandchildren, Derek (Kristi), Erika, Dominic and Lucille; two Great Grandchildren, Blaise and Everett. He is also survived by his step-son, Christopher Kolb (Robin), step grandchildren, Michaeline and Winton Fletcher, Christopher Cannone; two Step Great Grandchildren Natalyia and Johan; several loving nieces and nephews who doted on their Uncle Pat as if he were the King He is also survived by many in the Dirienzo family; a special “buddy” Jim Nugent who was Pat’s workout partner, breakfast partner and a good friend for 33 years.

Patsy was a retiree of IBM. He was a member of St James Church, an avid golfer and bowler and a member of the Southern Tier All of Fame. A fierce fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.

He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in 25th Signal Core. He was also a member of the UE 1948 Graduating committee and served on the committee for many years until his health deteriorated. Pat was also a talented golf club maker having made several sets of clubs for family and friends.

Patsy was a loving, kind and fun loving man. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Patsy was always ready to give a helping hand to his family and friends.

He will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the staff in the Dementia and Alzheimer’s unit at Willow Point Nursing Home for the wonderful care and friendship they gave Patsy or as they called him “Joe Pesci”. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, October 11th at 9:30am at St James Church, 147 Main St, Johnson City, NY.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. James Food Pantry or a charity of your choice.

At long last your suffering is over and many family members and friends are waiting to greet you and your infectious laugh and humor. A wife could not ask for a more caring, considerate husband. Until we meet again, you will be truly missed.
