Weirton, WV. Caroline Snyder, 90 of Weirton passed away at the Weirton Geriatric Center on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, following a lifetime battle with respiratory disease. Raised in Follansbee, Caroline was born in Cedar Grove, Pennsylvania on July 21, 1928.

She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Marosi Snyder. She was formerly of Englewood California where she worked 36 years for Hughes Aircraft Corporation as an executive secretary. A Catholic by faith, she was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and the Steubenville Business College.

Along with her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond (Ila) Snyder, Leo (Luanna) Snyder, Andrew “Dewey” (Pauline) Snyder, and Glenn (Barbara) Snyder. She was being cared for and will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Father Dennis Schuelkens Jr. will preside for a memorial Catholic Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton on Saturday, February 9, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Follansbee.

Caroline’s family would like to thank the Weirton Geriatric Center and Valley Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care shown to their loved one. Contributions may be made in Caroline’s name to Valley Hospice at 10686 St. Rt. 150, Rayland, OH.
