Obituary for Carolyn Ann “Cates” Spencer Carolyn Ann “Cates” Spencer, age 69 of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Veda Cates, sisters, Jessie Mills and Lana Cox, brothers, Paul, Bill, Jack, and Eddie Cates. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Spencer, daughters, Christy Spencer and Karen Spencer, brothers, Doyle Cates and Homer Cates, sister, Bonnie Wilson, several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the Avalon Hospice, Jefferson County Health and staff, and Mixie Roark and her daughters Christy and Karen. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Dr. Sonny Strange and Rusty Webster officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Westview Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. graveside interment service.
