Obituary for Mayford French Mayford French, age 90, of Dandridge, formerly of Tater Farm Road, Crossville, went home to heaven to sing the choir of the redeemed on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was a deacon, member of the Deep Springs Quartet, and long-time member of Deep Springs Baptist Church where he served as choir director and Sunday School teacher. He was retired from Tennessee Well Supply.

Mayford was preceded in death by his wife, Viola French, daughter Patsy French, grandson Christian Stallings, parents Willie and Mart French, and all nine of his brothers and sisters. He was survived by his children, Barbara (Hoyt) Frasier, John (Betty) French, Frank (Kay) French, Carolyn (Jim) Wert, and Mike (Norma) French, special niece Ann Bryan, special caregiver and friend Melanie Woody and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren: some related by blood but many, many more related by love- for he was Papaw Mayford to so many people. Thank you to nurse Kathy and Smokey Mountain Hospice for your care and loving support in Mayford’s final days.

Receiving of friends will be Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Deep Springs Baptist Church from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Deep Springs Cemetery on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mike Sledge and Rev. Tony French will preside over the services with a special eulogy by Jerry Slagle.

Pallbearers will be great-grand sons Justin Frasier, Brian Rosa, Caleb Hodge, Chase Longmire, Chad Boatman, Ben Brooks, Michael Scavone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Elder, Paul Moore, Mark Brooks, Mike Reagan, Richard Reagan and Joe Ramos. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Deep Springs Cemetery Fund C/O Jewell Price, 309 Independence Drive, Jefferson City, Tennessee 37760.
