Carolyn Frances Hughes, 72, of Adolphus, KY passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence. The Adolphus, KY native was a homemaker and loving momma. She was a daughter of the late James Roy Charlton and Lillie Marie Anderson Charlton.

She is survived by her husband: Murl R. Hughes, Adolphus, KY; 2 sons: Christopher Hughes and wife, Tracy and Eric Clay Hughes and wife, Janet, all of Scottsville, KY; 1 daughter: Renea Stephenson and husband, Jason, Adolphus, KY; 1 brother: Steve Charlton and wife, Mary, Adolphus, KY; 2 sisters: Sherlie Harper and husband, Eugene and Deloyce Meador, all of Scottsville, KY; 7 grandchildren: Chelsey Calvert and husband, Evan; Jacob Hughes; Paige Hughes; Cory Stephenson; Shelby Hughes; Jessica Charlton and husband, Chad and Shannon Blankenship; 1 great grandson: Granger Jack Calvert and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ralph Charlton and Joe Charlton and 1 sister: Nina Rhodes. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro.

Mike Harper officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Oak Forest No.
