Roger Lee Taylor, 79, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Thursday, May 18, 2018 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Dollar General, U. S. Marine and member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He was a son of the late Clifford Taylor and Vela Mae Doss Taylor. He is survived by his wife: Beverly Taylor, Bowling Green, KY; 3 sons: Joe Taylor and wife, Donna, Scottsville, KY; Bill Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor, both of Bowling Green, KY; 2 daughters: Vicky Massingale, Scottsville, KY and Michelle Lee Dyer and husband, Chris, Bowling Green, KY; 2 step sons: Craig Harrison and wife, Teresa, Franklin, KY and Derek Harrison and wife, Amy, Port Orange, FL; 3 sisters: Faye Johnson and husband, Don, and Joy Holland and husband, Bro. Danny, all of Scottsville, KY; Marsha Goad and husband, Roger, Lafayette, TN; 1 brother-in-law: Bro.

John Whitney, Scottsville, KY; 1 sister-in-law: Treva Taylor, Scottsville, KY; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Helen Mitchell and Sue Whitney; 2 brothers: Bro. Larry Taylor and Phillip Taylor; 1 son-in-law: Eddie Massingale.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Holland officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 8:00 a.m. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
