Carolyn’s Obituary Carolyn Lee Freeman of Denton, Texas went to be with our Lord on Tuesday January 29, 2019. She was at home and surrounded by her family and friends. Carolyn was born on August 28, 1941 to Richard Phillips and Cecilia J. Reedy.

She graduated high school in Big Springs, Texas in 1958. She was married to Everett Glynn Freeman and together they had 5 children. She divorced in 1979.

Carolyn displayed the value of perseverance and hard work through her jobs including Manager at the Thrifty Nickel and Walking “R” Western Wear. She always made it known that Christ was the center of her life and her family and friends were her passion. She wore the badge of “Biggest Cheerleader” well.

Carolyn was a very strong, independent woman who loved to travel and make people laugh. She never met a stranger that she didn’t make feel welcomed, loved and accepted as one of her own family! She loved all unconditionally and set the example of what loving like Christ truly looked like.

She is preceded in death by her father, Albert J. Roes, her mother, Cecilia J. Roes, her brothers, Leroy J. Roes and Dale R. Phillips and her son, Scott E. Freeman. Carolyn is survived by her children, Carol Banyai, Kristie Marcotte and former husband, Charlie Marcotte, Jeff Freeman and former wife, Cyndi Freeman and Jason Freeman and wife, Shana, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will accept friends at 9:00 A.M. on February 01, 2019 at DeBerry Funeral Directors.

Funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel with interment immediately following at Cooper Creek Cemetery. As I sit in Heaven and watch you everyday, I try to let you know with signs I never went away I hear you when you’re laughing, and watch you when you sleep, I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home, So I try and send you signs , so you know you’re not alone.

Don’t feel guilty that you have life, Life that was denied to me, Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see. So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free, Then I’ll know with each breath you take , you’ll be taking one for me. We love you forever and will never forget.
