Carolyn Payne, 75, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away July 11, 2018. She was born August 12, 1942, in Jasper County, Missouri to Marguerite (Hamilton) Wescott and Luther Elvis Wescott. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

She was employed in Customer Service. Carolyn is survived by her husband of almost 57 years Max Payne; her son Douglas Denton Payne (Becky); daughter Andrea Michelle Clinkenbeard (Larry); grandchildren Eliza Scherb (Carl Scherb Jr.), Steven Payne, Danielle Payne, and Matt Clinkenbeard; great grandchildren Carl Scherb, Cody Scherb, and Ciara Scherb; siblings Marvin Westcott (Fern), Velma Eberhart, Lois Morgan (Melvin), and Gary Westcott; sisters-in-law Pam Payne and Marcia Howell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Steven Westcott and Elvis Westcott Jr. A celebration of life will be held on July 22, 2018 in the Central Presbyterian Church, 125 N 7th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47807.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Presbyterian Church Deacon Fund. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home.
