Obituary for Carolyn “Peaches” Powell POWELL, Mrs. Carolyn “Peaches”- age 55, passed away, Monday, December 24, 2018 at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. Family hour 1:00PM Thursday, January 3, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St, with funeral services commencing immediately at 2:00PM. Pastor Jen Herrmann, officiating.

Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 1:00PM on Thursday. Mrs. Powell will lie in state at Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 517 W. Walton, and may be viewed from 1:00-8:00PM, Wednesday. Mrs. Powell leaves to cherish her memory; husband, McKinley Powell, Jr; children, Robert Geter, III, Danielle LaVette (Dwain) Carter and Debra Jean LaShawn (Datania Jermaine) Browner, Sr.; twenty-six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Oliver (Judith) Norris, Jr., Alfreado Moran, Sr., Sandra Norris, Theresa (Jackie) Taplin, Patricia (Kenneth) Burch, Linda (Anthony) Williams, Jeanette Norris, LaRie (Will) Simms and Delores Spears; mother-in-law, Goldie Powell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
