Felton December 19, 1945 – January 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card FELTON, Carolyne Elaine (Craft),73, of Seminole, FL, passed away at home January 10th in the care of her devoted husband following a long struggle with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Born in Coudersport, PA, her family moved to St. Petersburg in 1947. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward J. Felton, brothers Michael (Dianna) and Donald (Anne) Craft, sons Edward (Catherine) and Robert, and daughter Gwendolyn Feeley (Michael), 4 nieces, and a nephew.

She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Donald and Carolyne and brother Robert. Carolyne attended 54th Avenue Elementary, Meadowlawn Middle, and graduated from Northeast High School, where she played oboe and was a Majorette.

After their children entered school Carolyne began a career in Securities, starting at Merrill Lynch, moving to Raymond James and Associates where she earned her securities broker license in 1977. She moved to Paine Webber at the Bayfront Tower in downtown St. Petersburg, working for more than 10 years before taking early retirement. Carolyne became a Cub Scout den mother for her grandson Alex and continued on to Boy Scouting where she rose to Unit Commissioner.

Her involvement with scouting lessened as the effects of COPD limited her activities. In February, 2011 Carolyne received a single lung transplant giving her years of added life with her family. A Memorial Service celebrating Carolyne’s life will be held at L.W. Mohn Funeral Home, Sunday, February 10th, at 2:00 PM.
