Obituary for Casper Anthony “Tony” Bailey Bluefield, WV- Casper Anthony “Tony” Bailey, 87, of Bluefield, WV, died Friday December 21, 2018. Born February 17, 1931 in Louisville, KY, he was a son of the late William H. Bailey and Effie Montgomery Bailey. Tony was a member of Midway Christian Church in Bluefield.

He was also a 60-year member of Robinson Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Louisville, KY and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War on the U.S.S. Tripoli. He worked as a Bakery Engineer at numerous bakeries through the years, having worked at Betsy Ross Bakery in Bluefield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Aubrey and Margie Terry; and one brother, Frank Bailey. Survivors include his wife Peggy King Bailey of Bluefield; children, Neil A. Bailey and wife Melody of The Villages, FL and Teresa Robinson and husband J.C. of Bluefield; sister, Joyce Baker of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Bradley A. Bailey, Jeremiah C. Robinson and wife Melanie, and Keli Ann Robinson Malkin and husband Henry; one great-grandson, Shea Malkin; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home on Sunday December 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Dan Webb officiating.

Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Midway Christian Church, 3014 Big Laurel Highway, Bluefield, WV 24701.
