A Celebration of Life for Cassandra Lin Vargus will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Cassandra’s family asks that memorials be made in care of her children, Adrian and Mila.

Cassandra Lin Vargus was born December 15, 1984 to parents Michael and Lisa (Wheeler) Vargus. She grew up in Des Moines and attended Lincoln High School. Cassandra was blessed with two children, Adrian and Mila.

She loved her children more than anything. In 2018, Cassandra moved to Chariton where she worked as a prep cook at the Charitone Market Grille. In her free time, Cassandra enjoyed music, dancing, and coloring in her adult coloring books.

She loved getting together with her family for the holidays, especially for Halloween and Christmas. Cassandra was a wonderful person. She was loving, nonjudgmental, and always remembered the little important things in her relationships.

She was beautiful both inside and out. Cassandra passed away January 23, 2019 at the age of 34. She will be greatly missed by her son, Adrian; daughter, Mila; mother, Lisa (Jack) McNeeley; father, Mike Vargus; and siblings: Mellissa (Andy) Hall, Sydney McNeeley, Kristin Vargus, Jamaica (Kira) McNeeley, and Eric (Brittany) McNeeley.
