Catherine “Cathy” Mary Popina, age 63 of Baltimore, Maryland, died January 8, 2019 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. Cathy was a Secretary for 20 plus years in the H.R. Department at T. Rowe Price. She was also a member of St. Michael’s Church and St. Michael’s Ladies Sodality in Baltimore, Maryland.

She loved to read, painting and drawing (attending college class for art), and visits with her Charles County family, where she participated in the Relay for Life. She was the daughter of Stephen Popina and Helena Feluk Popina. She is survived by her brother, Michael Popina (Patricia); her sister, Anna Coleman (James “Sonny”); her nephews, Michael Mikey Popina, John Popina, and Roy Coleman (Betsy); and her niece, Tracy Marie Coleman.

She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews. Friends received on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5-8PM with Wake Service at 7PM at Lily & Zeiler Funeral Home, 1901 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21231. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Michael’s Church, 1400 South 48th Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21222.

Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Cemetery, 1399 South 48th Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21222. Memorial contributions in Cathy’s name are asked to the American Cancer Society.
