Catherine E. Mellott, 83, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away December 5, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Wells Tannery, Pennsylvania to Carl and Ruth (Garlock) Wright. She had worked at Menno Haven as a nurses aid for many years.

She was a member of the McConnellsburg VFW and the St. Thomas American Legion. She is survived by her son, Donald J. Mellott of Chambersburg and her companion, George M. Stiffler Sr. of Chambersburg. She has two grandsons; Justin Mellott and Donald J. Mellott Jr and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Veryl D. Mellott and a son, Frank D. Mellott. A funeral service will be held Tuesday Dec. 11th at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Rev.

Dave officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
