Obituary of Catherine Kresge Catherine “Cathy” Wible Kresge, 90, of State College, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born January 1, 1928, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late William and Martha Maharg Wible. She married Guy V. Kresge, who preceded her in death on February 20, 1991.

She is survived by four sons, Scott Kresge and his wife, Jill, of Valencia, Todd Kresge, Ronald Kresge, Jeffrey Kresge and his wife, Carol, all of State College; five siblings, Alice McCullough of Ashville, NC, Gladys Neely of Valencia, Marty McFarland of Indiana, Janet Karlovich of Cannonsburg, Curt Wible and his wife, Colleen, of Butler; three grandchildren, Kyle and his wife, Rachel, Gayle and her husband, Austin, and Connor. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor Chambers and Roger Wible. Cathy was a graduate of Penn State University receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics.

She did her graduate studies at Millersville University. She co-owned and operated Bostonian Limited clothing store in down town State College from 1957 until 2004. Prior to that her and her husband owned Kresge Clothing and she also taught Home Economics in Oil City.

She was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Mount Nittany Society and the Nittany Lion Club. She was an avid Penn State sports fan.

Cathy also volunteered for the ARC of Centre County. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12 p.m., on Monday, June 18, 2018 with Celebrant Jackie Hook officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College. Online condolences and signing of the guest book may be entered at www.
