Obituary of Helen Davis Helen ” Honey” Weiss Davis, 96, of State College, died Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Greenhills Village. Born February 13, 1922, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Z. L. and the late Dora (Friedman) Weiss. On January 24, 1942 she married the late Bernard Davis, who died in 1989.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan D. Klein of State College. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Steven Klein and his wife, Jeanne Weaver; Shelley Greenfield and her husband, Michael; Julie Ellis and her husband, Gerry; six great-grandchildren, Paige, Hailey, and Riley Greenfield, Jack, Asher and Leo Ellis; and her large extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Honey was predeceased in death by her son, Jay Paul Davis, on November 11, 1993, and four brothers and eight sisters.

Helen was a homemaker who enjoyed singing, playing golf, and volunteering with Easter Seals, Head Start, Westmoreland Hospital, and Council of Jewish Women. She was a life member of Hadassah. A graveside service and burial were held at Menorah Gardens Funeral Chapel and Cemetery in Southwest Ranches, Florida.
