Cathy Perttula of Trout Creek, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 12th surrounded by her loving family at the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wisconsin after a short bout with cancer. Cathy was born in Bruce Crossing on May 1, 1941. She graduated from Ewen High School in 1961 and married Jerry Perttula on June 2, 1962.

She was a homemaker raising three daughters. When her children were grown Cathy also worked part-time out of the home washing dishes at Grandma Grooters and did in home daycare for her grandchildren and others. She enjoyed shopping, gambling, going for morning coffee and decorating her house for the holidays.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; three daughters, Sherry (Todd) Barnett of Merrill, WI; Tammy (Tom) Gibson of Bruce Crossing, MI; Heather Austin of South Range, MI; four grandchildren, April (Tom) Bayer of Merrill, WI; Coty (Tasha) Sayles of Merrill, WI; Trevor (Kendall) Gibson of Lambertville, MI; Taylor Gibson of Minneapolis, MN; six great-grandchildren, Gracie Lessor, Ava Bayer, Liam Bayer, Annaka Sayles, Aili Sayles and Alita Sayles. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother. Services will be held at Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing on Saturday, March 16th.
