Cecil Lonnell Nevins, Sr. was born December 26, 1955 to William and Rosie (Stockdale) Nevins, Sr. in Kansas City, MO. He was the fourth of eight children. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sylvester Nevins, Sr., brother, William Sylvester Nevins, Jr., and sisters, Tammy Reginia Nevins-Roland and Winifred Letitia Nevins-Bradley.

Cecil departed this life on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Nevins; Son Cecil Lonnell (Jamie) Nevins, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Daughters Talena Elaine Walker of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sha’La Marie Nevins of Kansas City, Missouri; Grandchildren Amar’ria Marie Nevins, Sai’Quan To’Rah Copeland, Sa’Myia Marie Nevins, JC’Auni Kimora Nevins, Troy Du’Ron Nevins, Cordell Ali Nevins; Brother Tyrone Glover of Kansas City, MO; Sisters Emma Nevins of Barstow, California, Gwendolyn Browning, Stephanie (Burnell) Nevins, Jacquelyn (Leslie) Lunn and Alisande Patillo all of Kansas City, MO; an honorary brother, Kenneth Maurice Patterson of Kansas City, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:30.

P.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Linwood Chapel. Visitation 1:00 P.M. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
