He was born February 10, 1933 in Wellston, OK, the son of Fred and Fannie Johnson. Cecil attended school in Oklahoma.

Cecil along with his wife Terri owned and operated Johnson’s Painting and two car washes in Holton before retiring. He was the past master of the Rossville Masonic Lodge and a current member of the Masonic Lodge 393 in Mayetta. Cecil married Terri on November 26, 1981 in Maple Hill, KS.

She survives of the home. Other survivors include 3 daughters, Judy, Kristina and Amie; 2 sons, Robert and David; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sons; Cecil Duane, Kenny Jo and Wade; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A cremation is planned with burial at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home is assisting the family.
