Charlene Rowena Avery April 28, 1940 – January 19, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo Charlene Rowena Avery, born April 28, 1940, in Kirkland, Washington, passed away in Burien, Washington on January 19, 2019. Charlene’s family are grateful that she is no longer suffering, but they will truly miss her. She was passionate about music and art, spending her days as an interior designer.

She had her own company- Charlene Designs. Charlene was raised by her parents, Charles and Gladys. Gladys passed away after Charlene was married.

Charles had remarried to Inga who became her cherished stepmother. Charlene was a lifelong Washington resident, spending only some time living abroad while her husband Allan was serving in the Air Force, and for a short time in San Francisco before moving back to Washington permanently. Charlene graduated Bellevue High School class of 1958 and stayed closely connected with her classmates until her passing.

She was well loved by so many people, known for her quick-witted sense of humor, and her flair for style! She married Allan Frank Avery in 1959. She later divorced and never re-married.

She is survived by her sisters, Brook Roeseler, and Mickie Groth. She is also survived by her children, John Avery, Kelly Clark, & Stuart Avery. Charlene has many grandchildren, who were treasured by her: Kendall Avery, Chandler Avery, Rowena Clark, Kennedy Clark, Forrest Avery, & Garrett Avery.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Raymond Burnell, and Inga Burnell.
