Charles C. Barber, age 95 of Brenham, passed away on December 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Hazel Barber; wife Joy Barber and is survived by children Stephen Barber and wife Gloria, Curtis Barber and wife Julie, Jack Barber and wife Anita, Susan Bain and Randy, William Barber, Charles Barber and wife Camie; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. Charles Barber was a 2nd lieutenant in the 2nd world war.

He flew 18 missions with the Flying Fortress better known as the B29. Lieutenant Barber flew eighteen missions and one POW mission. His last mission was a flyover of the USS Missouri as the Japanese formally surrendered.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 4 – 6 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 am at Canon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hempstead Cemetery.
