Obituary for Charles “Chuck” L. Pierce Sr. Charles “Chuck” L. Pierce Sr., 77, of Mason City, IA died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Hospice of North Iowa. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. Vigil Service with Father Austin Wilker officiating on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd St SE, Mason City. Chuck was born on December 23, 1940 in Iowa City, IA to Donavon and Viola Pierce.

On December 1, 1962 he was united in marriage to Juanita Ramirez and to their union, four children were born. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings fan. His hobbies included cooking, gardening and raising all kinds of animals.

He was a jokester and will be remembered for his laughter. Above all else, his family was the most important in his life. Chuck was a member for 37 years of The Loyal Order Moose Lodge of MC #1328 and MC Senior Center.

Chuck is survived by wife, Juanita Pierce; children: Susan (Larry) Coffland, Dana (Terry) Pierce and Christine (David) Clapper; 10 grandchildren: Bryan, Savannah, Luther, Spencer, Jay, Jacquelynne, Danica, Dane, Dylan and Dakota; one great-granddaughter, Kora; sisters: Donna (Keith) Ward, Kathleen Garcia and Louisa Mae Flores; brother, Donavan (JoAnn) Pierce Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Charlie Pierce; brothers: Dana, James and Dean Pierce. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MC Senior Center and MC Moose Lodge.
