Funeral service for Charles Freddy Langley, age 71, of Hartselle, will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Brown and Bro. Ryan Childers officiating, and Shelton Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Mr. Langley, who died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in Vinemont, was born November 12, 1946, in Decatur, to Charles F. Langley and Helen Irons Langley.

He was preceded in death by one son, Charles F. “Chuck” Langley, III, his parents, and one sister, Ann Parker. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy White Langley of Hartselle; three daughters, Malaina Truss of Hartselle, Karen Merriman (Toney) of Vinemont, and Tina Childers (Ryan) of Falkville; 11 grandchildren, Michael Truss, Brandon Truss, Nicholas Langley, Joshua Brown, Katharine Riddle, Kimber Lindsey, Zachary Merriman, Jacob Merriman, Savannah Smith, Rebekkah Childers, and Scarlett Richard; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
