Charles Harvey O’Rourke, III, 63 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 19, 1955 in Frankfort, Germany to Charles H. O’Rourke, II and Patricia Ann Sallee O’Rourke. He was a retired Airforce Veteran, a member and Chaplin of the V.F.W. Post 1427 and American Legion Post 335 and he had attended Bethany Christian Church in Charlestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Mindy Pierce. Survivors include his wife, Mary Dailey O’Rourke; daughter, Wendy Planty (Neal) of Sullivan, IN; step-daughters, Rita Campbell (Bruce) of Paris, IN, Carolyn Walker, Elizabeth Walker and Lori Odle all of Charlestown; brothers, Mickey O’Rourke (Mary Agnes) of Charlestown and Brian Keith O’Rourke (Patti) of LaGrange, KY; sister, Debbie Wolff of Charlestown; grandchildren, Haeven Davis, Kaylee Davis, Brianna Davis, Ryan Gonzalez, Dustin Houchens, Ronnie Houchens, Morgan Houchens, Blake Gibbs, Ashton Odle, Johnie Odle and Elias Odle; great grandchildren, Kaisen Houchens and Liam Howard; and nieces and nephews. Life Celebration Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday May 16, 2019 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.

Visitation will be from 12 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 am on Thursday.
