Charles Henry (Billy) Taylor, 71, departed this life on September 8, 2018 at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Riverside, Missouri. Charles was born on December 15, 1946 in Parkin, Arkansas to Arthur and Estella Jackson Taylor. Charles grew up in Kansas City, Kansas.

He attended Kealing, Stowe, Northeast, and Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. He joined the United States Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam. He was discharged with an Honorable Discharge.

He worked for Owens Corning and Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Estella Taylor Green, father, Arthur Taylor, Sr., sister, Frances Ruth Taylor Thomas and a brother, Arthur Taylor, Jr. Charles Henry Taylor leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Kelly Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter, Naomi (Naashon) Hughes of Harker Heights, Texas; grandchildren: Captola Taylor Harris, Grayling (Parnell) Taylor, Joan (Leland, Walker, Vaugh, (Katrina) Taylor; James Green, Christopher (Pamela) Taylor; Janee Taylor and LaKatherine Taylor all of the Kansas City area; grandchildren: Keona and Kelvonte Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; Camrhon, Naashon, II, Christopher, and Rhandy Hughes of Harker Heights, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Coby Byers; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Charles Henry Taylor will be held Monday, September 17, 12:00 p.m. at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Kansas Chapel, 2065 N. 5th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Kansas Chapel. Interment, 2:30 p.m. Leavenworth National Cemetery.
