Obituary for Charles J. Tussey Charles Joseph Tussey of Woodstown, NJ died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 17, 2018 at the age of 65. Charles was born in Palo Alto, California on October 13, 1953. Shortly after his birth, he and his parents relocated to Salem County New Jersey where he resided the rest of his life.

Charles graduated from Salem High School in 1971. Shortly after his high school graduation he became employed at DuPont’s in Deepwater, NJ. He then decided he had a love for auto mechanics and took pride on being the mechanic at the Woodstown Mobil in the center of town.

Charles was an avid hunter and his passion for fishing consumed him during his retirement. His desire to fish came only second to the love he had for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and pop pop.

Charles has been the beloved husband of Joy Tussey (Maressa) for forty-one years. Beloved father of Katie Robinson (Wayne Jr.) and loving grandfather to Alexis Joy Pierce and Wayne Steven Robinson III. Charles was the oldest and only brother to his sisters Marguerite Doerr (Frank) and Luanne Taylor (Thomas Pollard).

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceased by his parents, John and Florence (Farenkoff) Tussey. Relatives and friends may visit 6pm-7pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ.

The service will be held following the visitation at 7 PM. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Charles’ memory to the Salem County Humane Society, PO Box 214, Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
