Charles “Joe” Emerson Crane Jr., 74, of Rockmart, died Thursday November 1, 2018. Charles was born in Gainesville on September 6, 1944, to the late Charles “Jack” E. and Frances E. Ham Crane Sr. Charlie was retired from Lockheed Martin and served in the Air Force and was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War, he was an avid fisherman, loved to dance, play Santa and find a good deal. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by various aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Frances A. Crane, daughters; Amy (Robert) McGrew, Michelle (Dustin) Moore, Katie Duncan and estranged daughter Melissa (Wili) Thomason, sister; Beth Sudderth, uncle; Bob Ham. 9 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday November 11 from 10-12 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service to follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
