OBITUARY Charles R. Bess February 18, 1946 – September 9, 2018 Charles R. Bess, age 72, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018. Born Monday, February 18, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Edward W. Bess, Sr. Bessie R. Hazelwood Bess. A Purchaser for the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education for 35 years and one who enjoyed boating, camping and just hanging out on the houseboat.

Mr. Bess is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah Adkins Bess; his sons, Michael D. Bess and his wife, Allison Nicole, Richard L. Bess and his wife, Lydna Anderson; grandchildren, Braxton Cole Bess, Alexis Leigh Bess and Anna-Kate Rose Bess.
