OBITUARY ODELL BRASWELL May 3, 1918 – October 18, 2018 Odell Braswell, age 100, the oldest veteran from Jackson County, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018. Born Friday, May 3, 1918; he was a US Army and Army Air Corp veteran, serving during WWII is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marie Scott Braswell; children, Teresa B. Lee, John N. Braswell, Nadell (Greg) Howell, Odell (Denice) Braswell, Jr.; grandchildren, Janet Lee, Bobbie Jean (Michael) Greene, Jamie (Shannon) Lee, Stephanie Braswell, Barry Braswell, Jenny Braswell, Kelly (BJ) Sullivan, Jordan Braswell, Brandi Wise (deceased), Brian Wise; and 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Braswell earned his Doctorate in Education and taught at Maplewood High School; preached where needed but his last church was Clarksville Highway Church of Christ; he enjoyed flying, riding motor cycles, and gardening.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Chapman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
