MIDDLETON/SAUK CITY-Charles R. “Chuck” Nachreiner, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 16, 1948, the eldest son of Wallace and Ellen Nachreiner (Brickl).

He grew up in Sauk City and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and was stationed in Germany during his time of service. Chuck worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison for many years and later was employed by Springs Window Fashions in Middleton, until his retirement. Chuck was the eldest of six children and is survived by Eileen Campbell, his life partner for over 30 years; his loving mother, Ellen Jerrett (Brickl); daughter, Raya Nachreiner; siblings, Sharon Brickl, June (Bill) Ganser, David (Tone) Nachreiner, James Nachreiner, and Mark (Jane) Nachreiner; nieces, Jaqui (Bob) Ganser and Amelia Nachreiner; nephews, Aaron Ganser and Daniel Nachreiner; stepchildren, Lisa (Chris McClain) Kloppedal, Debbie (Doug) Neath, and Dale Campbell; five grandchildren, Taylor Nachreiner, Cory (Bri) Kloppedal, Kyle Kloppedal, Kayle Kloppedal, Tanya Neath, and Heather Neath; six great grandchildren, Camron, Trevin, Caden, Robbie, Azaria, and Alainna. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Nachreiner.

A burial service will be held at SUNSET MEMORY GARDENS, 7302 Mineral Point Rd. at 1:00 p.m. on Sat. , Nov.

3, 2018 with military honors. We want to give special thanks to Eileen’s daughters, Lisa and Debbie. They held a very special place in Chuck’s heart and provided amazing care in the most compassionate way possible.

We also want to thank the wonderful staff of nurses from Agrace for helping Chuck and our family through this difficult journey.
