Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A. M. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Mohorn Baptist Church Cemetery, 219 Cosay Road, Opelousas, LA 70570 (Plaisance Community) for Charles Ray Green, 56, who entered eternal rest on Saturday March 9, 2019 in his residence. “Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you.

I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. – John 14:1-3 Mr. Charles Ray Green was born on February 11th, 1963 to Herbert Green, Sr. and Willie Mae Green.

His paternal Grandparents were Murphy Green, Sr. and Louanna Green, His maternal Grandparents were Curley and Violet Armadie. Charles was baptized at Mohorn Baptist Church in Opelousas at an early age. Charles was a lifetime Opelousas resident, and OHS 1983 graduate and completed the T.H. Harris Vo-Tech Program for air conditioning, refrigeration and white goods repair (Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Freezers, AC Units, Etc.

) Charles was employed at Cajun Chemical & Janitorial for the majority of his working career with Blake, Bart, Debbie, Annie and other employees. He time of transition was spent surrounded by loved ones in the comfort care of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care at his brother’s residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert, Sr. and Willie Mae Green, brothers; Herbert Green, Jr., James Michael, Jonathan Kenneth, Joe Wayne and Ronald Green.

He is survived by his sister Brenda of Memphis, TN, brother Curley Green of Opelousas, nieces Lakish R. Green, nephews; Ronald Adecion Green and Herbert Green, III. He is also survived by his last living Aunt, Leona Rosette Green of Opelousas. He leaves to cherish his memory a great friend, Elonda Minor and his godchildren, Willeah Cooks, Joshua Cooks, Markadrien Bryant and Jaqaylyn Minor.
