Charlotte’s Obituary Charlotte Bates Services for Charlotte Anne Bates, 89, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Bates passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at a Shawnee nursing home. She was born December 30, 1929 at Breckenridge, TX to J. W. “Bill” and Mary Jane Brewer Miller.

She married James Homer Bates November 25, 1951. He preceded her in death November 30, 2009. Mrs. Bates was a homemaker and had formerly worked for S & Q Clothier and also helped operate Bates Electronics.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada. Survivors include her children, Vicky Gates and husband Dale, Pauls Valley, and Ron Bates and wife Sandra, Belinda Kindrick and husband Kevin and Karin Nuner and husband Phillip, all of Ada; her 10 grandchildren, Steve, Amanda, Shade, Kaden, Katelyn, Preston, Camron, Morgan, Joclyn and Rachael; six great-grandchildren, Tagan, Taylor, Lyndsey, Koletun, Beau and Reese; and one great-great grandchild, June. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Tony in 2015.

Bearers will be Beau Hamilton, Kevin Kindrick, Steven Bates, Shade Kindrick, Camron Nuner and Tagan Bates.
