Charlotte’s Obituary Charlotte Eileen Harper, age 78, of Brady, Texas passed away, December 21, 2018 in San Angelo, Texas. Charlotte was born in Dallas, Texas to Fred Douglas Helton and Eileen (Stover) Helton. She received her bachelor’s degree from TCU in Spanish and history in 1965.

She married John Colquitt Harper on June 6, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. She worked for Exxon Mobile for 24 years, rising to the position of Supervisor in Regulatory Affairs. They lived in Midland from 1979 to 1997.

In 1997 they moved to Houston. After retiring in 2003, Charlotte and John moved to Brady. Upon moving to Brady, Charlotte remained active by participating in civic organizations.

She served on the board of directors of The Haven (a women and children shelter in Brady) for a number of years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Midland. She enjoyed crafts like needlepoint and rug-hooking.

A gathering of family and friends for Charlotte Eileen Harper will be Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. At her request, Charlotte’s remains will be cremated. Friends may view Charlotte’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign the online memorial guest book at www.

leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Charlotte Eileen Harper is survived by her husband, of over 53 years, John Harper, of Brady, Texas; son William D. Harper and wife Laura of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Diane Harper of Dallas, Texas, sister Linda Matjka and husband Kenneth of Arlington, Texas, grandchildren William Weise III and wife Ciciley, Zachariah Harper, Joshua Harper and Kaleigh Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents.
