Funeral services for Charlotte New Snell, age 96 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Harry Hadden will officiate.

Mrs. Snell was born January 8, 1922 in Norristown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Mariel Ricks New. She was a homemaker and assistant in helping run the family dry cleaning business S & M Cleaners. She was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Eastern Star Ladies Club.

She was a Pianist/Organist. She won many music awards as a teenager. Mrs. Snell passed away Monday, July 16, 2018.

Mrs. Snell is survived by her son, Jay (Linda) Snell of Savannah, a daughter, Jackie (Walter) White of Lyons, 3 grandchildren, Matt Snell of Savannah, Heather (Scott) Rogers of Tennille, and Holly (Scott) Knight of Tennille, 3 great-grandchildren, Jonathon Martin of Tennille, Aiden Knight of Tennille, and Abigail Knight of Tennille, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chad Wombles, Chan Carter, Alan Amerson, Larry Price, Billy Ritch, and Jason Dye.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Todd, Johnny Martin, Thomas Blackburn, Willis Wombles, and Bruce Worley.
