Rosa Jackson Harrell, age 89, of Dexter, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Mrs. Harrell was a dedicated member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a homemaker. She retired from Woolworth and Wal-Mart as a Department Manager.

Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Hines and Estelle May Jackson; husband, Edwin Harrell; brothers, Johnny Jackson, George Jackson, Bernard Jackson, Kenith Jackson, Wiley Jackson, Raymond Jackson, and sisters, Mary Josey and Louise Tyler. Survivors include her sons, Edwin Dean Harrell (Pam), of Dexter, Raymond Clay Harrell (Felicia), of Unadilla, and Benjamin Leon Harrell (Lisa), of Dexter; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Estelle Layfield, of Milledgeville, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Hall and Rev.

Charles Bloodworth will officiate. Pallbearers will be Heath Harrell, James Harrell, Justin Harrell, Joseph Harrell, Joshua McCard, and Nicholos Breasette. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund.
